- Mary’s Shelter provides housing and support to women facing a crisis pregnancy.
- Our Program
- Mary’s Shelter offers independent residential care to pregnant women over the age of eighteen who, for any reason, lack the moral, financial and/or spiritual resources to provide for themselves and their babies. Mary’s Shelter, acting as facilitator, will:
- Secure necessary housing
- Coordinate benefits with local government agencies
- Help with transportation needs
- Provide education and employment assistance
- Counsel in mothering skills
- Meet other needs on a case by case basis
- Outcomes
- For each woman supported, Mary’s Shelter seeks to achieve:
- A healthy pregnancy
- A healthy baby
- Successful completion of GED program, if needed
- Completion of prenatal, parenting, and life skills training
- Transition to independence
- Job security
